Sweet Deal!

L.L Bean is a great company to buy camping gear, outdoor clothing, all weather boots, and so much more! They have a 100% guarantee. If you bought boots 30 years ago and they ripped 10 years ago but you never returned them, you still have a chance! This company sticks to what they mean and their products are awesome. Here's your proof!

Good Old Maine.

Over the summer me and a friend drove to Portland, Maine. It took us 9 hours to get there when we expected only a 6 hour drive. We drove straight into the sunrise, beautiful nonetheless and began our adventure

This is a photo of a river in Salmon Falls, Maine. Just to the left (unfortunately I do not have a picture of it) is a cliff thats about 20 feet high where I ran and jumped from. There was also a rope swing that i jumped from, my first ever!!

Here's a house pig that was laying outside on a porch of a west-side Portland mansion. Who would've thought a pig could live so luxuriously.

Colorado!

Colorado!! A few weeks ago i ventured off to Denver and Boulder colorado all by myself! It was my first airplane ride by myself and I stayed with my best friend of about 8 years. We camped, we enjoyed the outdoors, and we were merry with everyone around us. Such a great adventure. I used Hipmunk.com and found airplane tickets last minute for $200 round trip....such a bargain and so worth every penny! :)
Boulder, Colorado, Mountains, Camping, wilderness
This is me standing on top of the mountain we camped on after we watched the sun rise over the alpine groves. Note: we chose a random spot in the woods, this is the true wilderness and not a campground site.
This is an elephant at the Denver Zoo. Elephants are good luck people!

This is a beautiful church that we encountered on our way down the road through Boulder county. To the side of it on higher ground stood a beautiful statue that I believe was Jesus pointing to the sky. Behind the church is Mount Meeker, one of the largest mountains in Boulder County

Nicaragua!

Nicaragua!

I spent 9 days in Chacarasaca, a small community 2 hours outside of the capitol Managua. I also went to Nuevo Amanacer, a small community built by my High school that developed in the mid '90's. When I went, I was on a strict community service trip where we built houses, did bio-intensive farming, went to the schools to teach, and most importantly joined the community to get to help people who live in a third-world country. We were able to bring supplies to them that they are not necessarily able to get by themselves.

This is what the city of Leon looks like, a popular and more advanced community in Nicaragua.

Rewind!

Rewind!

Over the summer I decided that if i was going to start traveling, I need to start with the basics first by traveling the most important place to me, and that's my own home!

I'm from Long Island so I decided to go north upstate to New Paltz and other spots around Dutchess County. Here's a pic of my favorite spot. Peters kill at Minnewaska State Park, Ny.
