This is a photo of 2 of my best friends at our favorite beach, Robert Moses state Park in New York. We went all the time and hopefully will be able to go again this summer if it is still in good shape after Hurricane Sandy!!

FIRE ISLAND!

For those of you who live in New York, Fire Island is a great, quick, and some-what cheap get away! It's an easy drive from Long Island, where I am from and very relaxing, family oriented and place to visit. Here's a pic of the beach in Seaview

Unfortunately because of Hurricane Sandy, Fire Island was greatly affected and will take a long time to repair, just like surrounding areas that were hit.

Over the summer I decided that if i was going to start traveling, I need to start with the basics first by traveling the most important place to me, and that's my own home!

I'm from Long Island so I decided to go north upstate to New Paltz and other spots around Dutchess County. Here's a pic of my favorite spot. Peters kill at Minnewaska State Park, Ny.

This was one of the cliff jumping spots that we found.
