This is a photo of 2 of my best friends at our favorite beach, Robert Moses state Park in New York. We went all the time and hopefully will be able to go again this summer if it is still in good shape after Hurricane Sandy!!

Road Trip!

When I was 17 and a senior in high school, I was dating a guy that was in his first year of college. His friends and him decided to take a road trip to Virginia for spring break and I joined them! I missed a week of school but it was well worth it. We ended up staying in Virginia for a night on a mountain top and woke up with ice on our tent. So we ended up driving all the way to the Gulf of Mexico in Panama Beach City, Florida. We camped at St.Andrews State Park in a tent which is a horrible idea. We were right on the bay and on our first night and alligator came up to our tent and ate half of our food including a squirrel. THANK GOD it didnt' eat us!

Village Virgin

Boulder, Colorado Village Coffee Shop on Folsom St. is definitely the spot to go to your first time in Boulder. I got perfectly flipped eggs with a mound of golden brown hash brown crunchies. If it's your first time, your server will round the entire restaurant in applauding you and your "virginity" to the restaurant. As you can see I got my V-card back where they will "pop my cherries" every time i go.

New Year in Montreal

My friends and I have decided that we're going to try and spend New Year's in beautiful Montreal, Canada. We'll most likely stay in a hostel for a few days and it'll be my birthday as well! Any adventurous ideas for the road trip or the trip itself in Montreal?? Can't wait to be here!!

FIRE ISLAND!

For those of you who live in New York, Fire Island is a great, quick, and some-what cheap get away! It's an easy drive from Long Island, where I am from and very relaxing, family oriented and place to visit. Here's a pic of the beach in Seaview

Unfortunately because of Hurricane Sandy, Fire Island was greatly affected and will take a long time to repair, just like surrounding areas that were hit.

Adirondacks

NEXT Fall I want to try and get to the Adirondack mountains. Definitely will be camping with a few friends and around the fire. Wish I could go this year, but after Hurricane Sandy all the fall foliage is gone. :(

cheap airfare!

www.hipmunk.com I found this amazing site on stumbleupon. I've used it every since and it's AWESOME! It helps you find cheap air fare from all different airlines and it finds the lowest price! The layout is great, the graph allows you to view different prices, times, airlines all in one setting! I found direct round trip flights from NYC to Denver for only $200! Well worth it!

Sweet Deal!

L.L Bean is a great company to buy camping gear, outdoor clothing, all weather boots, and so much more! They have a 100% guarantee. If you bought boots 30 years ago and they ripped 10 years ago but you never returned them, you still have a chance! This company sticks to what they mean and their products are awesome. Here's your proof!

The Avalon

This is The Avalon in Historical Stonybrook, Long Island. It's full of gardens and trails and next door is a beautiful vineyard. At the Avalon there is also a labyrinth and duck pond. It's a great place to escape for a day or just a few hours to walk or go for a run. A relaxing way to stay in touch with nature. This picture is of two of my good friends Leanne and Parveen.

Good Old Maine.

Over the summer me and a friend drove to Portland, Maine. It took us 9 hours to get there when we expected only a 6 hour drive. We drove straight into the sunrise, beautiful nonetheless and began our adventure

This is a photo of a river in Salmon Falls, Maine. Just to the left (unfortunately I do not have a picture of it) is a cliff thats about 20 feet high where I ran and jumped from. There was also a rope swing that i jumped from, my first ever!!

Here's a house pig that was laying outside on a porch of a west-side Portland mansion. Who would've thought a pig could live so luxuriously.

Colorado!

Colorado!! A few weeks ago i ventured off to Denver and Boulder colorado all by myself! It was my first airplane ride by myself and I stayed with my best friend of about 8 years. We camped, we enjoyed the outdoors, and we were merry with everyone around us. Such a great adventure. I used Hipmunk.com and found airplane tickets last minute for $200 round trip....such a bargain and so worth every penny! :)

This is a beautiful church that we encountered on our way down the road through Boulder county. To the side of it on higher ground stood a beautiful statue that I believe was Jesus pointing to the sky. Behind the church is Mount Meeker, one of the largest mountains in Boulder County

Nicaragua!

Nicaragua!

I spent 9 days in Chacarasaca, a small community 2 hours outside of the capitol Managua. I also went to Nuevo Amanacer, a small community built by my High school that developed in the mid '90's. When I went, I was on a strict community service trip where we built houses, did bio-intensive farming, went to the schools to teach, and most importantly joined the community to get to help people who live in a third-world country. We were able to bring supplies to them that they are not necessarily able to get by themselves.

Rewind!

Rewind!

Over the summer I decided that if i was going to start traveling, I need to start with the basics first by traveling the most important place to me, and that's my own home!

I'm from Long Island so I decided to go north upstate to New Paltz and other spots around Dutchess County. Here's a pic of my favorite spot. Peters kill at Minnewaska State Park, Ny.
